Scott (http://twitter.com/nintender) and I are working on the next update of BeTwittered.  A couple of the features we’re working on are allowing multiple account logons, and context menus that will include things like “reply” and “direct message” selections.  Is there anything that you’ve been wishing BeTwittered could do?  Something we could create and help to stop your pain?  We have a couple of our own wishes, but let us know what yours are.  Leave a comment if you think you have the bestest idea ever, or even just little, teency, itty-bitty wish.  We love to hear from you all.

Thanks for all of your work.

BeTwittered has been a recent life saver. I was having my twitter feed sent directly to IM and I was constantly getting distracted. BeTwittered sits nicely in my google homepage for viewing when I have spare time.

    Keep up the great work!

Thanks Conrad! I’ve got to say, we’re enjoying working on this project, and really enjoy hearing back from people who find BeTwittered useful. Thanks so much for the feedback!
I read your “Going Naked for a Day post” on your site: http://www.conraddecker.com. Just so you know, it got me thinking about what would happen if I ripped out the stylesheet from BeTwittered. It’s really odd how that has gotten my creative juices flowing. A nice “what if?” for me since I’m learning as I go. Thanks!

After using BeTwittered for quite some time, I love the app, also it means I can get past the firewall blocking the main website :)

Request for features, some that would be cool would be the ability to enable the web or phone updates from the gadget.

Also more ability to transform the gadget like you can transform the theme of your twitter page, sure it’s a useless asphetic, but it’s to make it look nicer.

I’ll think of some more later.

Configurable gadget height would be great!

“reply” function +1 — IM lacks this, forcing me to the website. Hurry, hurry!

The contextual menus you mentioned would be a fantastic addition. Not being able to reply and send direct message are usually what drives me away from BeTwittered and to either twhirl or twitter.com. Of course, I always come back.

The only other thing I can think of that would be nice is to be able to view older tweets. Seems BeTwittered shows about the 20 most recent tweets. Being able to page back to older ones would be nice (again, not being able to do this now causes me to jump over to twitter.com).

Keep up the great work, and thank for a fabulous add-on!

yo, just wondering if the twitter gadget is broken? I just clicked to install and its not loading anything. I noticed the latest comment on the gadget itself says the same thing. I’ll keep it up for a couple days because I’m very interested in this gadget.

I second the request for paging. That’s the one thing that causes me to have to leave the gadget and go to the Twitter site.

I’d really like the ability to have multiple Betwitter gadgets on my google home page. There are several organizations I’m a part of that have their own Twitter accounts, plus I have my own personal account. Currently, you can only have one account logged in and I guess that one cookie serves all gadgets installed. It would be great if I could have multiple gadgets logged in to separate Twitter accounts.

I would love to see “title” attribute of icons filled.
Title can give an explanation, what the hell does this icon do, like “Send a direct message”, which I would see as a popup.
    Thank you!

    Hi Denis.

Thanks for the reminder. I really meant to do this, and got so used to the icons while I was working on the changes, that I forgot to add the text titles.

I’ve implemented the titles for the icons, which should now appear as you hold your cursor over them.

    thanks!
    Robert
